Position Overview: As an Automotive General Service Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance and repair tasks to uphold the company's commitment to exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automotive Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements, as well as more complex automotive repairs and diagnostics.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of workmanship, accuracy, and safety in all service and repair tasks, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with customers professionally, providing explanations and recommendations for necessary repairs and services while building strong customer relationships.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians and service advisors to streamline workflow and meet service department goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all services performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings.
- Training and Development: Actively participate in ongoing training and mentorship programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge, fostering personal and professional growth.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe and efficient working environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and ordering automotive parts and supplies to ensure efficient shop operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive repair is preferred.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician/mechanic, with a strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification is a plus.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new automotive technologies.
